Neston Riverside WI Newsletter April 2024
15/04/2024
Dear Members,
I hope you all had a good Easter and you’re not sick of chocolate. We’re all fed up with the constant rain but I’m sure the sun will shine soon.
Thank you all for joining in with the fun games last month it was a real tonic.
Our speaker this month is Tara Dumas she will be talking about recycling. I’m told she is a good speaker and I’m sure she’ll be able to answer questions like ‘what do you do with empty toothpaste tubes?’
Our annual subscription is now due and a few people have yet to pay so please make Janice’s life easier and do this asap.
Sue A. will be running our sales table so please have a search around for anything you can bring. It’s a good time of year to think about plants for the garden. Don’t forget we also have a market place if you wish to sell or acquire any items.
Thank you again for supporting the food bank and thank you to Jennifer for delivering our contribution.
Andrea and Adrienne will be running the raffle, thank you to them both.
Jennifer and Jan are this month’s tea ladies thank you to them for volunteering. Please sign up for future months if you can, everything is supplied all that’s required is serving the drinks and washing up afterwards.
The ‘Glass Deva’ craft workshop was very successful, we all enjoyed the afternoon. I am in the process of organising a pottery afternoon, more details next month.
The Storyhouse tour on Monday 10th June at 10 O’clock is fully subscribed. Please bring your £5 cash for Philippa this month.
Philippa is also organising a visit to Chester mosque, more details to follow.
The South Wirral Group visit to the Arboretum still has places available and is now open to non members so if you would like to reconsider it’s on May 2nd cost £14. Please let me know if you are interested.
