Dear Members,
Thanks to everyone’s efforts and good weather we all enjoyed the day at the Village Fair. It was lovely to receive so much help and support from members and much to my surprise we made £195 profit. This year the Church opted not to take a 20% cut so that was a nice surprise. The committee have suggested that we donate this money to a local charity to be chosen by everyone at the August meeting. Philippa had made some handouts for anyone interested in joining our WI and there was quite a bit of interest. If anyone needs a demonstration of how to put up our gazebo ask Philippa she’s the expert!
Next Wednesday is our birthday dinner and we’ll meet at 6.30 for 7 at The Woodcote where 30 of us will be there in our posh frocks.
The Literary Lunch on the 27thJuly is now to be paid for so please give Janice your £25. We will leave from my house at10.45 collecting Janice on the way.
Ness and Little Neston WI have kindly offered us places on their planned outing on 22nd September 3 o’clock to 5 o’clock which is afternoon tea on the Floating Grace. This is based at the Albert Dock and as well as sandwiches, scones and cakes we will have a tour of the docks. The cost is £20. Sue will have a board at the dinner as Carolyn needs the numbers asap. Those members not going to the dinner please let us know if you want a place.
