Dear Members
With Pauline away on a well deserved break this newsletter is coming from Philippa.
We had a very enjoyable Birthday Dinner at Bromborough Golf Club. The food was excellent. A possible venue for a Christmas dinner? Would members prefer to have a meal in January rather than December?
We have been lucky to be invited on trips by other WI as, being such a small group, the cost of coaches for these trips would be prohibitive to do it on our own.
6 members joined up with Willaston Hey to go to Lytham St. Annes and had a very enjoyable day out despite the dull weather.
3 members have signed up for the Jodrell Bank tour with Ness and Little Neston WI. on 14th September. Please contact Barbara Garside if any changes need to be made. £22 for coach and tour. Please bring the money at the next meeting.
The Llandudno trip with Eastham W.I. has been cancelled due to lack of interest.
High Tour of Chester Cathedral on August 18th. The numbers of “climbers” have been confirmed with Chester Cathedral. The plan is to catch the first bus out of Neston. Some members will meet just for a coffee.
Port Sunlight Tour. Wednesday 6th September at 2pm. We have 8 confirmed for this. Please bring £8.50 to the next meeting.
Autumn Meeting at the Storyhouse Tuesday 3rd October 11.00am to 3.30pm with talks by Karin Snape who walked from John )’Groats to Land’s End, Debra Drake (Great British Sewing Bee Finalist 2022) and Philippa Forrester,( tv and radio presenter, producer and author).
