Neston Riverside WI Newsletter November 2023

Dear Members,
It’s hard to believe it’s November again and next week we’ll be holding our annual meeting and more importantly a members social.
Our October meeting was an interesting look at parts of Chester we didn’t really know existed or had never really thought about before.
Unfortunately, due to our lovely weather the South Wirral group meeting had to be postponed and is now scheduled for Friday December 15th. We’ll sort out the tickets on Wednesday evening.
A big thank you again for your outstanding contribution to the food bank. It is gratefully received and appreciated. Please continue to support our sales table in any way you can as this too is for the food bank. Jennifer has kindly offered to deliver this month’s food. Thank you.
Christmas Markets. We will meet in the cathedral refectory for coffee and take it from there. The Christmas tree display in the cloisters is really worth seeing before dashing off to spend money at the markets. The 9.30 bus from Brook Street would be a good way to meet up and travel together if you wish.
Remembrance. We have traditionally taken part in our Neston event and laid a wreath. It is always well supported by members and a worthwhile contribution. We meet at the Royal British Legion and the parade begins at 2.35 for the church service at 3pm. Please support us if you can.
We are already planning our Christmas party so make sure you have December 13th in your diary.
