COMMITTEE MEETING – All members are welcome to come to committee meetings to see what goes on. The next committee meeting will be on the 9th May in the Church Hall at 7.30. We would be delighted to see interested/curious members.

PREVIOUSLY:

CHESHIRE QUIZ: Our team had a very respectable result, coming 7th out of 19 teams. Well done.

ATHENAEUM: Members really enjoyed looking around this beautiful building.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

LITERARY LUNCH: Thursday 19th April. Tickets to be given out tonight.

LIVERPOOL SYNAGOGUE: Thursday 31st May. A 45 minute tour of the synagogue has been arranged. Cost £5. Transport will be by public bus to Liverpool and then again by bus to Princes Road for the tour. Board tonight.

ADELPHI AFTERNOON TEA: Thursday 28th June. £12.50. To celebrate the achievements of the suffragettes. There will be 2 speakers: High Sheriff of Cheshire, Alexis Redmond MBE and Rev Jane Parry, Vicar of Rock Ferry.

OSWESTRY IRONWORKS: Thursday 12th July. A visit is being arranged. Board tonight.

BIRTHDAY DINNER: Wednesday 18th July. Cost £23. Menu available tonight.

NANTWICH SHOW: Wednesday 25th July. £21 including coach and entrance fee. Coach pick up point is in Irby Village. Anyone interested in going please liaise with Ada Lewis from the North Wirral Association. Tel. 638 2232

VOTES FOR WOMEN CELEBRATION TEA: Thursday 4th October 2. 30 at the Church Hall. Bring a friend.

FLORAL PAVILION: A show of hands will be asked for tonight for those interested in a behind the scenes tour.

RIVERSIDE READERS – 14th May at Philippa’s house
