FACEBOOK – Our WI now has its own Facebook page which can be found by a search on Facebook for Neston Riverside WI. This page can only be managed by Judith or Philippa. There is also a closed group for members only. In order to join this group you have to be invited and you need to be on Facebook. Please could you give your contact details (email address and Facebook name) if you wish to be part of this group and to be able to comment and put pictures on.

ILLNESS - If someone in the WI is unwell we feel it would be a nice idea for us to show our sympathy and support but we rely on members keeping us informed. Please see Julie or any member of the committee if you know of anyone.

PREVIOUSLY:

Segway Experience – Despite it being a damp day those who took part ion this adventure had a really good day out and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We all found it easier than expected and there were no injuries!

UPCOMING EVENTS:

VINTAGE TEA – 21st July 2pm to 4pm. Tickets £2.50. There will be a sales table with hand made items. Please show your support by coming along and having a good time.

AIRBUS -17th August meet at The Royal Oak at 10am.

CHATSWORTH – There are still places available for this outing. Cost to Neston Riverside members is £20 payable at the August meeting. Full cost to others joining us is £33 cheques payable to Neston Riverside.

NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM – Eight of our members have signed up to join Ness and Little Neston on 14th September for their outing. The cost is £20 can those people please pay Pauline at the August meeting,cheques made payable to Ness and Little Neston WI and she will hand the money over. The coach will leave from St Michael’s Church at 8.15am and we should be back by 3pm. Take a picnic or buy lunch on site.

METROPOLITAN (Catholic) CATHEDRAL LIVERPOOL - A trip has been organised on 27th September with a 1 hour guided tour starting at 12 noon and costing £2.50. An optional visit to the Lutyen’s Crypt underneath will cost £3.00 There will be a board in August.

CHESHIRE FEDERATION AUTUMN MEETING - 3rd October at Winsford Lifestyle Centre with guest speaker John Mc Carthy CBE. See Cheshire News for details.

RIVERSIDE READERS – The next meeting of the book club is on 7th August

RIVERSIDE DRAMA GROUP – Rehearsals continue on Wednesday 26thth July at 7.30 at the Methodist Church Hall.

RIVERSIDE CLICKERS – Meet on Thursday 20th July at 2pm at Net’s Cafe for a relaxing, sociable event.

CREATIVE WRITING- 1st August at Philippa’s house.


SALES TABLE – The theme for August will be bonkers about books remember any money we make goes towards our Christmas meeting!
